Cycler not starting at log on

Postby popcornfrommars » Mon Jan 07, 2008 6:43 pm

I just installed Wallpaper Cycler Lite 3.5.0.97 on my Win XP laptop. I have it set to auto-start at Windows Log-in and to auto start cycling at start up but it doesn't start when I log on. I have to manually open the program. Any ideas on why it won't start itself?

It seems some people are indeed having problems with this. I will look into it after my skiing holiday.

However, try to create a shortcut in "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" that points to Wallpaper Cycler. Maybe this workaround might work.

Copying the shortcut into the Startup folder works.

Any updates on this? I had the trial version and it was working just fine at startup. I bought the registered version and it no longer starts at start up. I have verified that the option is turned on and the entry is in the reg. It kind of sucks that the freebie would work and the pay for version would not.....

There is a problem with quotes in the registry.
This will be fixed in 3.6 (will be released in June).
A workaround is to put a shortcut in the startup folder OR add proper quotes to the entry in the registry.
