Well, I finally released the new version of Wallpaper Cycler (3.1.0.39). Now, I can devote again some more time to ShellEnhancer. My goal is to get more frequent but smaller updates of ShellEnhancer released.

And you are not the only one.

I recently discovered ShellEnhancer and it is very good. Nicely thought out and nicely implemented.

Good work Nuonsoft! And thank you.

I would love to see more development on this. I've been using it for quite a while and recommend it whenever I can :)

Cheers

I've just started working on it again and going to try to release a new version in the near future. However, I'm going to try to release more frequent versions with some bug-fixes and some new features instead of big new versions.

See below for a list of things that currently have been implemented for the next release. NOTE: This is a very rough list with cryptic descriptions.
Code: Select all
--> Major New Feature:
   - Rewritten backend from scratch... Possibly Windows XP only (needs to be checked on 2k)

- New Features Enhanced Alt+Tab TaskSwitcher:
   - Shadow around taskswitcher
   - press first letter and jump to that window in list
   - Show on the monitor with the mouse (can be disabled with option)
   - Remove the 'note:' text
   - 32x32 icons in list mode (also from http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142 )
   - in list mode, the icon gets a selection box. could this be extended to got over the text also? (maybe an option?)

- New Feature:
   - Option to draw mouse gesture on screen.
- Fixed:
   - When moving my (pen) mouse quickly out of (any window with enabled rollup) the window does not
     roll up, but when ENTERING the (not rolled up window) it rolls up!
   - When resizing X-style and (just) having enabled rollup the contents of the window (e.g. windows explorer)
     does not size: only the area surrounded by the border will be larger, but the e.g. the statusbar remains
     the same size & position.
   - When using the Maxthon (formerly MYIE2) browser (http://www.maxthon.com/), the window rolls up when
     hovering the mouse from the toolbars into the tabs area and browser view part.
- New Feature (http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=181):
   - New option for Auto-Roll-Down feature: auto roll-up window again when the mouse leaves the titlebar OR
     when the mouse leaves the entire window.
- Fixed:
   - Windows TaskManager refresh-timer sometimes stops
- New Feature:
   - Task: open explorer with optional specific folder + option to set root of tree
- Fixed:
   - After changing tasks in ShellEnhancer, the tasks are saved automatically when closing the Manage Tasks dialog.
- Fixed:
   - auto increment version -> Show full build number in about
- Fixed:
   - Redraw bug with SE and photoshop. -> canvas isn't redrawn properly when you draw something on it.
- Fixed:
   - expand/collapse all tasks in "Manage tasks" is slow with lots of tasks
- Fixed:
   - Enhanced AltTab Taskswitcher doesn't work correctly with large fonts, things are falling of the window.
- New Feature:
   - Task command to mute/unmute sound.

- Fixed crashes with applications:
   - http://foxmail.hazeleger.net
      - Foxmail crashed when closing foxmail
   - When I have NotesHolder 1.32 (latest version) running with auto-hide on the side of the screen on,
      and then try to close it via the systray, it crashes. This crash does not occur when ShellEnhancer is
      closed first, so it is not a NotesHolder problem but a ShellEnhancer problem.
   - From http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=128
      - Newsleecher
- Fixed:
   - The gesture dialog is not clear: explain that the user has to click in the second column to select a task!
      -> also added "..." to make it more clear the user has to click it
- Fixed:
   -> the mouse-corner-action should use the corners of the entire desktop, taking multi monitors into account!
- From: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=378
   -> Ask to save the tasks when closing task editor !
- New Feature:
   - Render a transparent rectangle in mosaic behind text to make text better readable
- New Feature: OSD
   -> Anti-aliased OSD on Windows 2000 or later
   -> Border around OSD text on Windows 2000 or later
- Fixed:
   - Enhanced AltTab Taskswitcher -> wrongly focussed window when window has a dialog open. (fixed only for 2000/XP or later)
- Fixed some serious issues with the Shell Enhanced Applications feature when applied to for example Windows Explorer
   -> When fullrow select was activated, sometimes part of the selection wouldn't be redrawn when an item was un-selected
   -> The info-tooltips didn't work when hovering a folder/file in the fileview in Explorer (http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=131)
   -> The selection rectangle wasn't drawn translucent anymore on XP
- Fixed: from: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=368
   -> When a window is minimized normally, MinToTray last visible window will restore this 'normally' minimized window.
- Fixed: from: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=378
   -> Save the Settings immediately when closing the Settings-dialog
- Fixed:
   - alt+shift+tab doesn't work correctly the first time to open the Enhanced AltTab Taskswitcher window
- New Feature: from: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=167
   -> New task command to rollup/rolldown active window
- New Feature: Mosaic:
   -> mouse tracking selection.
   -> user configurable selection border width
- Fixed: Apply-button in settings window doesn't move when resizing window
- Fixed: From http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=178
   -> Outlook xp/2003 address book can only be showed once...
- New Feature: The Enhanced TaskSwitcher now displays the app-icon in the top-right or top-left
- New Feature: From: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=114
   -> Add option to allow double click on title bar to rollup.
- New Features: From: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150
   -> Mosaic suggestions:
      -> option to show name of app at all times, not just in tooltips
- Fixed:
   -> One thing that could be improved is that the Enhanced AltTab Taskswitcher looks a little too cluttered.
      You might want to leave the icon out of the top bar, and move the note in the bottom bar into the
      configuration wizard instead of having it on the switcher every time.
      -> Note is gone
      -> Option to hide the top-left icon.
- New Feature:
   -> Add "min to tray" to windows/system menus.
- New Feature: From: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=117
   -> OSD: user selectable font, and option for bold and italic
   -> OSD: change position: center, 4 corners, 4 sides...
   -> OSD: Change spacing between screen border
- New Feature: From: http://www.nuonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=121
   -> Add a "Duplicate task" in task editor
   -> task editor -> double click should open props; single click on + sign should expand
- New Feature:
   -> Keyboard support in Mosaic-Switcher
   -> Smaller mosaic-switcher
