Quick Start
This section will explain a basic procedure of making an
image-list and start cycling. Only the very basics will be
explained to get you started quickly. Layouts, effects, RSS news
feeds, etc will not be covered here.
- First run the program. If the program is running, click the
'New' button (
) on the toolbar (to make sure the
list is empty) or go to the 'File' menu and select 'New'. Now you
should have an empty list.
- Use the "Wallpapers > Add Wallpaper > Add Folder
Recursively" and select a folder on your hard disk containing
wallpapers. When Wallpaper Cycler asks some options, just keep the
defaults and click OK.
- Now, a few categories should have been created as you can see
in the left tree in the main window.
- To setup the cycling options, choose "File > Document
Settings".
- In the tree on the left of the Settings window, select
"Wallpaper Cycling". On the right of the window, configure how you
would like Wallpaper Cycler to cycle your images. When finished,
click OK.
- To start cycling, just click the 'Start Cycling' button
(
) on the toolbar or go to the 'Tools' menu
and select 'Start Cycling'. The program should now begin
cycling.
- You can always close the main window of Wallpaper Cycler.
Wallpaper Cycler will keep running in the notification area which
are the icons next to the clock of Windows.
You see, it isn't difficult to work with Wallpaper Cycler. Most
of the features are rather straight forward and self-explaining.
You can find out more about other features in this help-file or
just play around with the program.
Note: The above Quick
Start only explained the very basic steps required to start
cycling. To learn more about all the other more advanced features
and possibilities, check out the feature
list.
