The second Belgian LLVM Meetup will take place at the Guardsquare offices in Leuven, the 19th of June. Anyone who’s working with, or is simply interested in, the LLVM project or any of its tools; Clang, lldb, lld, Polly,… is invited. The evening starts off with three short talks on various LLVM related topics. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time to exchange experiences and get to know the local LLVM community.

In my previous blog post I mentioned I would post some pictures taken during assembling my new PC. Here they are, hit the jump to see them. 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »
A couple of weeks ago I finally bought a new PC, and I love it 🙂
It’s a nice:
I must say, it’s very very fast, especially thanks to the SSD. The 16GB RAM come in handy for running virtual machines 😀
Once you’ve worked on a system with an SSD as system drive, you simply don’t want to go back to using mechanical drives as system drive…
During my trip to the Microsoft MVP Global Summit my blog was hacked and I had to take it offline because it was trying to infect users with a virus. It took my quite some time to restore everything 🙁
Personally I just cannot understand why people hack blogs or any other site for that matter 😡 Anyway, everything should be working again now…
As some people already noticed our nuonsoft.net domain is down for around 2 weeks now. This .net domain is hosted by www.M6.net. 2 weeks ago, the harddisk in that server died and it is taking the webhosting company ages to replace a harddrive! I’ve send numerous emails and high-priority tickets without success. The latest reply I got was 4 days ago where they said they would contact one of the admins to be able to tell me a timeframe for the replacement. A timeframe for a harddrive replacement?? Why does it take more than 2 weeks to change a harddrive and why does it take more than 4 days just to give me a timeframe?!? After 4 days, I haven’t received any further replies, no timeframe, nothing… Also, this harddrive issue is not the first problem we had with the hosting. A while ago, they suddenly decided to change the drive letter (it’s Windows hosting) for the data drive meaning some of our scripts got broken. Of course, they didn’t bothered to tell customers that the drive letters would be changed or didn’t even send an email after they changed it. We just had to find out the hard way, by noticing that our scripts where failing…
This is simply unacceptable! Of course it’s pretty redundant to say that we will be moving our nuonsoft.net domain to another webhosting company.
On a side note, our nuonsoft.com domain is hosted by www.unitedhosting.co.uk and I’m very pleased with the level of support they provide. All tickets are handled promptly, often within minutes. That is what a webhosting company should be like.
